I have a choice of 2 convertibles the chrysler pt 2.4 or the mini cooper ? but cant choose?

i,m 29 and have 2 boys aged 7 + 5 and dont want to look cheesey ? its got to say smart classy car that people will look at without laughing

Reply:The Cooper%26#039;s a great car - but it%26#039;s very dark and claustrophobic in the back. It%26#039;s OK on short trips and it%26#039;ll be OK while your kids are small, but if you%26#039;re going to have the car for any length of time or do any %26quot;real%26quot; travelling, I%26#039;d consider the Chrysler if I were you (even if it isn%26#039;t as cute).


Have you driven them both yet and you still can%26#039;t decide?


Take your kids along and drive them!


Lucky you, by the way, both in getting to choose a convertible and in being only 29.





Edit: The fact that %26quot;You have a choice of%26quot; implied to me you weren%26#039;t actually BUYING it, but if you are - buy the one you like and to hell with depreciation and cost, so there!

PT cruisers are seen all over the place. Mini coopers not as much.
Reply:Everyone answers a question like its Monopoly money. You Will pay plus of sticker for the Mini, and can cut a pretty good deal for a PT with all th bells and whistles. The 7 year old will want the Mini but last time I looked they don%26#039;t pay any bills and are really going to have their hands out in a few years.


Now if you are one of those fortunate enough that cost is not an issue, then excuse me and don%26#039;t forget your favorite charity along the way.If that is not the case calculate the difference between the 2 and start or add to a college fund or retirement,what have you.

Reply:Given the price of fuel I%26#039;d go for the mini cooper because it%26#039;s only a 1.6 4 cylinder 16V. The 2.4 chrysler engine will just drink the fuel. Plus they%26#039;re very cute.
Reply:Better do the mini cooper, they resale better and last longer. Also, even though they are small , they much more reliable.
