I'm trying to get my payment book for my auto loan but gettting excuses instead?

i have an auto loan through marlton auto credit. i have been trying for over a month to get a new payment book but they keep telling me its been mailed or will order a new one.its been over 30 days and still nothing cant help but feel they are up to something.how do i get them to give it to me and has anyone else had problems like this
I%26#039;m trying to get my payment book for my auto loan but gettting excuses instead?
ask them if you can pay online through your checking account. a lot of banks will take internet/electronic payments from your bank. save yourself $0.42 a month, and maybe make the payments automatic (if you have the money)

you usually just have to type in a bank routing number and your checking account number.

Is This A Good Car?

I was looking at buying this car I have enough money I was wondering on what you thought about it how long do you think it will run for or do u think its gonna **** on me this is my first car

Is This A Good Car?
your biggest concern right now should be gas milage... check out other cars in your price range and compare...
Is This A Good Car?
yes
Reply:um no. it%26#039;s ugly. there are many other options out there. =D
Reply:old, but fine enuf
Reply:looks nice to me
Reply:yes
Reply:any typical car .
Reply:no its ugly
Reply:cheap !!!

get a mustang

there in the same price
Reply:yea its nice, the gas isnt though
Reply:It has alot of mileage on it, and its AWD means gas guzzler, its a BMW, its a well made car.
Reply:yes it is, get it
Reply:those older bmws are AWESOME. totally reliable too. my dad had one when i was a kid. go for it!
Reply:heck no beamers are usually good but if it does break down on you it will cost a fortune since you will have to get foreign parts for the car
Reply:you can get something better...it has too many miles...get a mustang newer model and cheaper
Reply:hmm...Do the owners sound reputable%26gt;? go online and get a carfax report..this will help you..you will need the VIN number for that! do they have maintenence records? how many owners? any mechanical problems//? DId you have a mechanic check it out and give a clean bill of health:? if not DO ALL OF THESE THINGS! it will help
Reply:Thats VERY cheap for a BMW, If i were you i would get it checked out by a mechanic and you should ask the previous owner about any problems previously had by the car.

Personally i would choose something more fuel efficient and something more run down, being your first car it is most likely going to get a few knocks, bumps %26amp; scratches.. If you get the car above you will be very disappointed if it gets scratched.
Reply:yea that seems like a great car if it runs well. take it for a test drive and if all is well, that would be a good purchase. You can always tune it up later. Have fun and Good Luck! :)
Reply:BMW%26#039;s are reliable, it should run for a while. Looks pretty clean. Offer them no more than $2,500 and try to negotiate to there if possible.
Reply:I would be concerned about the gas mileage, and a good car for you would be a mini cooper. Many people are buying them, and even though they look small, they%26#039;re big on the inside. there%26#039;s many features ,and it%26#039;s comfortable. My brother is very tall, around 6 ft 4 and he fits perfectly in the little car.
Reply:well the car is older...so it is due for its share of problems...The miles seem a little low for being 17 years old...are you sure the odometer hasn%26#039;t been played with? Yeah i would continue to look...it has a nice price and looks pretty good...but looks can be deceiving. I would ask a lot of questions and definitely take it to a mechanic before i bought it. the seller should agree to this if he has nothing to hide. Also most auto places will do it for relatively cheap sometimes free if you have done business with them before.
Reply:yeah, it looks fine..and that%26#039;s a good deal too...make sure you talk to the owner and straight things out cuz u%26#039;ll never know...

one more thing...ask him if he has some receipts of repairs and maintenance of the car...if he has some and its kinda recent then itz good...it means he is a good owner and that car ur buying is good...

ask him too when is his last smog test...if its far from 3 months ask him to smog test it and of he doesn%26#039;t want to...tell him you%26#039;re gonna deduct $50 on the price of the car and then more if the car doesn%26#039;t pass the smog test...

Good Luck!!!
Reply:its an alright car, and its has a good price but your only problem will be that it will be a lil expensive to maintain and also the 5 series wont get very good gas milage....my advice would be 2 invest in a more fuel efficient car because in the long run it will definately pay off
Reply:that is a steal very good price you did very well with your decision. it will last forever just keep your oil changed regularly this is very important maintanace for your engine. i have a 1987 mercedes with 220 miles and it runs very well.
Reply:If you are buying a used car, make sure you see a Carfax report before you buy... if the owner doesn%26#039;t provide one, get the VIN number and buy it yourself. Good luck.
Reply:Wow it is a decent car and it looks like it was well kept! BMWs last a long time and this one looks like it was taken care of... at least in the pictures. My only concern is that it is a stick shift and sometimes people tend to abuse them. Make sure the clutch isn%26#039;t burned out of it and the transmission shifts smoothly! Be sure to check the oil and look underneath to make sure it isn%26#039;t rotted out. Other than that it is a decent car. It has high mileage but for a 1991 114,000 isn%26#039;t anything that means no one really drove it. Good luck I would say you got yourself a deal!
Reply:it should last at least 200,000 miles, do you know if the clutch was replaced? gas milage will be about 20mpg, it%26#039;s a 3.5 liter engine.

i just got a 2008 smart and dumped a 2.3 liter mercedes 190E that got barely 21mpg. gas will come back down to $3 a gallon by the end of the year. if you can afford the gas and it has no hidden problems, it should be fine.
Reply:for the money it%26#039;s a great looking car and low milage for the year. i%26#039;d take it to a trusted machanics first as bmw cost alot of fix and will usually have engine problem at that age.
Reply:yes but check gas mileage help save some money from going to the oil companys

That%26#039;s in the yellow pages.
How can i find surrounding car dealerships?
online or local phone directory
Reply:Go to www.cars.com

You can choose to buy a new or used car or just research cars. If you are buying a car, you will select the make and model, then it will ask for your zip code and it will find all the avaliable cars from your search at local dealerships.
Reply:Just bring up yellow pages and type in car dealership in the catagory. And then type in your zip code and everything will come up for you.
Reply:Depending on which make you are interested in, you can go directly to that manufacturer%26#039;s website and look up the dealerships near you.

First Car? Which one should I buy?

My choices so far:

BMW 525i

BMW 318i

Nissan 200SX

Nissan 280ZX

Nissan 350Z

I know a lot of these are older cars and not made anymore. I would like to purchase a used car and soup it up.

Which one do you think I should buy?

You can suggest other cars too

I would like to spend under 6k
First Car? Which one should I buy?
I%26#039;d personally go for the toyota or nissan. Toyotas are good cars, and if you%26#039;re going to be purchasing an older car and you are going to invest time in it, I%26#039;d get something that would last a while! BMW%26#039;s are really expensive to maintain.
First Car? Which one should I buy?
integra

OR just soop up a civic
Reply:BMW3 or the Integra

but check with your insurance company, some are charging more to insure the Acura integra due to high theft and accident rates.
Reply:all of them are foreign made junk!!!!!!
Reply:what about a 90s mustang or camero thats in good shape or early 2000 car would be in your price range look for speed and power or get a transam
Reply:I guess you should also check insurance quotes for the car before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.bebto.com

Some of your choices are very expensive to insure.

I would prefer Honda or Toyota.

What kinda car should i get?

Does anyone know about the "drop the Payment" auto loan. Is it a scam or on the up and up?

I%26#039;m not sure if this is what you are talking about or not. Some finance companies offer to let you drop a payment around the holiday%26#039;s. What they don%26#039;t tell you is, the interest is added on at the end of the contract. There fore your last few payments are on the interest and you pay interest on the interest because your note was extended. Sorry if this is not what you were referring to.
Does anyone know about the %26quot;drop the Payment%26quot; auto loan. Is it a scam or on the up and up?
It should really save you time to just get an auto loan estimate online to check out what todays rates are. You might be pleasantly happy. Also if your credit is not so great, a lot of online loaners are more able to work with people.

What I usually tell folks is that an online quote at http://auto.lowratetoday.com is what I would do.
Does anyone know about the %26quot;drop the Payment%26quot; auto loan. Is it a scam or on the up and up?
Finding a bad credit auto lender take a little bit of work to find the right one. When looking to buy a new or used car, the dealer may offer bad credit financing, or refer you to a lender. Car buyers should consider arranging their own financing. Bad credit auto loans are simple yet complicated and some lenders will try to take%26lt;!--advantage of you. It helps to know your available options. Before applying for a car loan, try to get a copy of your personal credit report. Lenders base approval on your credit score and credit history. Some lenders classify sub prime borrowers as persons with scores below say 700. On the other hand, another lender may qualify a borrower with the same score for prime rates.

http://best-loans.awardspace.com/autoloa...

http://best-loans.awardspace.com/auto.ht...

Unless you have a 700 or higher credit score, it might be a good idea to look at your credit report and see what you can do to improve your credit score. A 700 score will get you the best rates at the best loan terms. Any credit score higher will not change what a lender can offer you, since you will already qualify for the best loan deal. Where you will start having trouble is if you fall below a credit score of 700. When you fall below--%26gt;lenders see you as a risk and will start charging higher interest rates in order to offset the risk.At this point your only options are to seek a bad credit lender or get to work on fixing your credit score. There are a number of quick things to do to improve your credit rating and get the loan you need at the rate you want.
Reply:If by drop the payment you mean lower your payment it is just advertising. If you are paying $400 a month and you hear an ad to lower your payment, if you go in and they can%26#039;t do it they still have you there, maybe they can talk you into buying a car anyway. Maybe they will tell you %26quot; sorry we can%26#039;t lower your payment, but buy a new car anyway, it will only be $450 a month for a new car, do you want to pay $400 for your old car? or $450 for a new car. it%26#039;s only $50 a month, that%26#039;s only a $1.60 a day, isn%26#039;t it worth a $ 1.60 a day to drive a new car? You say yes and there ad to lower your payment, just sold you a new car at a higher payment. It is just a way to get you in the door.

How much does it cost to move a car from New England to Cali?

I just bought a new car (well, used, but new for me) and I%26#039;m looking at several jobs in California. I%26#039;m trying to figure out which would be better - taking several days, paying for gas, and accumulating all those miles to drive across the country; or pay for the airplane tickets (two of %26#039;em), and pay someone to carry the car across the country? Obviously it would be nice not to put all those miles on it and pay for all that gas, and a whole lot more comfortable. I%26#039;m just trying to see how much it would cost to have my car shipped across the country, and whether any of you have done it? Is it worth it?
How much does it cost to move a car from New England to Cali?
Depending on the mode of transportation it could cost from $1.25 per. mile to $2.75 per, mi. If you are lucky enough to find some one you trust to drive it for you or have it hauled by a commercial hauler. I don%26#039;t see how you can fly out there and have the vehicle hauled and still save money. I charge $1.50 per mi. per car. That may sound expensive but at $4.35 to $5.00 a GAL. for Diesel plus wear and maintenance. that%26#039;s cheap. Some commercial haulers are charging $3.00 %26amp; up per mi.

Which scooter is right for me?

I am looking to buy a scooter for a lot of my in town driving due to the price of gas. I%26#039;m looking to buy 2. I need two that are fairly cheap (under $3000) and are good and reliable. I%26#039;ve never driven a scooter before, nor has the other driver. I need a model that can go around 50 - 60 mph to keep up in the traffic in town on some of the busier roads. Anyone have any suggestions on what models or dealers I should look at?

Jeez, as close as your search engine

Go to NOHO Scooters

they are old school Vespa guys, into the Scene, and they can set you up cool. Mike F is a big cool guy. I live in Portland Oregon, but there is a pic of me with him in it (taken at Amerivespa 2002 (Portland) He is the BIG guy on the far right. that scooter was mine...I made it. from scratch.

Ok i'm a teen about to get a car, need help though...?

ok so i%26#039;m about to start driving soon, so now i%26#039;m faced with the problem of finding a car. i do know that i want a used truck with good MPG. nothing expensive. i really need some help picking out a good used truck, probably a ford. any tips, websites, or anything that could help. thanks.
Ok i%26#039;m a teen about to get a car, need help though...?
If your looking for a Ford then i would go with the Ranger. Try craigslist.com to find used trucks in your area.
Ok i%26#039;m a teen about to get a car, need help though...?
It depends on what you are going to use the truck for. If its for the occasional hauling but more for a toy go with a Toyota. Toyota%26#039;s rock.
Reply:go with a chevy...
Reply:well, good is a relative term, but if you want MPG that anyone, in this day of skyrocketting gas prices, would call even decent, you%26#039;re not looking at a full-size truck. And you may have trouble find that in a smaller truck as well. Trucks just don%26#039;t have aerodynamics to support good MPG without large effort (like making them hybrid). You%26#039;re sure you need a truck.....? I used to always drive a truck daily but have switched to a car.
Reply:First things first... Trucks are not fuel efficient.

And if you get a %26quot;more efficient%26quot; one, you%26#039;ll kick yourself.

The 2.4L straight 4 that is in my pickup is a slog.

Up some of the hills where I live I%26#039;m stuck in second. SECOND!

And good luck towing anything...

So go for a least a V6... At least you will have a usable truck.

I would go for a used Toyota... They are easy to fix and pretty reliable. They also have good resale value, so it may be hard to find an inexpensive one.

Otherwise shop around for a deal. You may have to hunt. There are people who are desperate for cash out there. Take advantage of them. I purchased my car (VW Jetta) $4,000.00 under Blue Book.

Good Luck

Looking to buy a car for 2500 HELP?

Okay I have $2500, yes im a teenager 17. Just graduated, entering college. I need a good ecnomical car worth the $1000-$2500 price range used car. One that wont waste gas. I sorta like a big car but can%26#039;t find one 4 cylinders. Is an Mitsubishi Eclipse a good car? I know civics are, but there kind of ugly. Any suggestions?

i wouldnt be so concerned bout what the car looks like if all you have to spend is 2,500$. trust me, im trying to find a car now for that price, and nothing you find will be %26quot;pretty%26quot;. all that matters is that its safe, reliable, and wont fall apart.

i due to get my learners and shortly after to get my p plates and i need a car im 16 now and need a car i can afford any suggestions?

please
First car?
a used 95 Honda Civic or Accord
First car?
Something reliable. My first was a 1992 accord. Best car I ever owned. Easy to maintain also. Any 1990-1994 accord is good if it has a good history of maintenance. You can get a good one from 1500 to 4000. Them 1992-1994 civics arent bad either. Good on gas and in the Honda Family.

I had the 2002 model in 2005 and I sold it and got me a 1994 model, awesome cars. I have a Beamer %26amp; Altima on the side also : )

Also, ensure the timing belt is done..one of the most important things on those cars. The mileage doesn%26#039;t matter if the timing belt was done on time, oil changes and minor things.
Reply:Well just because you%26#039;re 16 doesn%26#039;t mean you need a car. People who need a car are those are have commutes to go to work. A high school teenager doesn%26#039;t need one...especially with the prices being so high these days.

But...even with that, consider a used Honda, Hyundai or Toyota sedan. Fuel efficient and small enough for an inexperienced driver.
Reply:i have a 93 camry and it%26#039;s working nicely as my first car. as long as you get a honda or toyota you should be good. they have the best ratings and are considred the most reliable cars. if you are to get a honda, you would get the accord or civic (like already suggested) and if you got a 95, it would cost you the same as about a 97 camry or 98 corolla. my personal suggestion would be to look for an older camry. the old new body style for them began in 93 i believe, so my car dosn%26#039;t look 93, it looks higher 90%26#039;s and isn%26#039;t bad. it%26#039;s a v6 and i have no problems with it and paid 2500 for it.
Reply:I Agree, Just because you are 16, doesn%26#039;t mean you should be car crazy. With gas as much as it is I think it would be just as much of a hassle as a savior. But save your money and play your cards right and you can find the crappy car of you dreams!

I bought a car about 6 months ago from a small dealership and I think it's a lemon. What can I do?

I spoke with the owner about the many problems I have had with my vehicle and who told me that there was nothing that they could do, that I should have bought the warranty when I bought the car, but I was never told about this warranty. He told me I must have been told because it is an incentive for his sales people. I asked my parents (who co-signed and helped me find the car) neither one heard of any warranty. Is there anything I can do? (Especially since there aren%26#039;t any lemon laws in Canada)

I bought a car about 6 months ago from a small dealership and I think it%26#039;s a lemon. What can I do?
Nothing you can do about it, particularly 6 months later.

No warranty means just that. Once you leave the lot, you take responsibility for any and all problems with no comebacks to the dealer.

The sales people arent required to offer you warranty, and if they know the car is a bucket and has problems, they wont offer you warranty as they dont want comebacks.

Better luck next time.
Reply:Lemon laws do not apply to used cars. Did you have the car inspected and checked out prior to it%26#039;s purchase? There is nothing you can do since you bought it as-is and it was 6 months ago. Use this as a learning experience.

I need 3 reasons why gas prices should go down?
To have money

Happier people

To not be in an economical slump (recession)
I need 3 reasons why gas prices should go down?
1. Too Much Money

2. Many People Wont Be Buying Gas

3. If The Gas Prices Go Up Pretty Soon It will be 10$ PG
Reply:the entire economy is crashing-people need gas to get to work and alot of people live far from where they work and they cant afford the gas to get to work which leaves people homeless and poor if they cant work
Reply:-people are getting poor, and aren%26#039;t able to pay for gas because they have so many other expenses they need to pay for

-not everyone makes alot of money

-no ones really driving because gas is sooo expensive

-gas being expensive is making people poor, and not benefiting anyone in any way
Reply:sorry there not the suv buyers aint so cool all of a sudden
Reply:the price of food will go down (since they blame it%26#039;s rise on gas prices)

so car manufactures won%26#039;t lose money and have to fire millions of people

so people will stop b****ing and move on to stopping global warming
Reply:1) Gas prices affect transportation costs, thus raising the price of everything from food to material goods.

2) Money is flowing to the middle east, where the terrorists like to hang out.

3) People are becoming lethargic and just hanging out instead of going out to shop and help the economy. Why go out if it%26#039;ll cost you just to drive?

We know that gas prices won%26#039;t go down now. Why lower it when you know people will still pay for it? Also, one guy predicted that we%26#039;re still paying less than the actual value of a barrel of oil. We%26#039;re supposed to be paying much more.
Reply:If I am helping you get through JC summer school then on Principle I can only think of one reason. Stay with me.

Gas prices should go down when our cars get only 15 mpg. Demand for gas will go down as people and companies and governments use less of it because it costs so much. Do you see this happening? Me neither. Although when mostcars got 15 mpg about 20 years ago gas was maybe 80 cents per gallon.

With out getting in to the whole %26quot;worlds proven reserves%26quot; and non renewable resource arguements, will you care so much about $5 per gallon gas if your car gets 100 miles per gallon? $10 per gallon if your car gets 200 miles per gallon.?

This will happen, and alot sooner that people think. The price of gas will accelerate the 150mpg technology to the people. now get out the calculator. ...a 10x jump in mpg (150mpg)EQUALS the %26quot;today%26quot; equivalent of (1986) 80 cent gas prices.

Can you see that happening?...I can

wow same thing im doing but im going to invest in my bro, but go for the car. trust me when u got a job and a girl u wont a good car not a crapy one.
Reply:It may sound stupid, but I think phone! If you are 15 (time to get a license?) then you will be able tog et a job and save faster for a car.. but if you have a good phone already a car would be good!
Reply:okay, it depends. What phone do you have now? If it doesn%26#039;t suck, then save for a car, that%26#039;s what I%26#039;m doing. If you really can%26#039;t wait for a new phone, look for a cheap, but still good quality one. They are out there.
Reply:car it lasts longer and you will not regret being able to get a better car than if you didn%26#039;t save.
Reply:save for a house ? Save for your children%26#039;s education ? Save for retirement ? They are all worthwhile. How long are you willing to save ?
Reply:Yep save for collage or for uni... Although i prefer a house over a car anyday.. and a phone over a car lol
Reply:Thats what my mom ALWAYS says...but im like, whats a few hundred bucks going to do in your car savings.? its not a big fraction of what a car will cost like a year from now! Get the new phone!! When you get your permit next year, gas might cause as much as the phone! OORRR...you should save up! my mom also says that phones are for emergencies only, so if you just want a phone for saftey purposes, save the money up in the bank!!(if you put it in a piggy bank, the money may slowly dissapear as you take a little amount evey day to buy new stuff)
Reply:u might be able to do both if you work hard
Reply:Remember your parents or guardians will most likely help you with some of this stuff like collage and a car. So for the best advice you should make out a plan with whoever you live with on what yo can do so that way you get the best out of it in the long run. :)
Reply:14 huh? Car or phone? hmmm... just a slight price difference... and with gas prices..... Maybe you should save up for that hot new Beanie Baby instead... or maybe you could do us all a favor and do what a lot of people say and just stay off the road.

(cars that cost $300 dollars usually don%26#039;t last more than a week before they cost another $300)
Reply:if ur 14 u probly wouldnt be able to drive till ur 16? soo id say get a cell phone now.. there not to expensive and then just start saving for a car.. getting a job as early as u can

Are discounts from sticker price available on new Mini Coopers?

Especially in the Chicago area..
Are discounts from sticker price available on new Mini Coopers?
All you can do is try.

However, I would say that if you are financing the vehicle, and you are trading a car in, most likely not.

Small cars are in big demand now, and any desirable small car will sell wether they discount the car or not.

The bottom line is if you are not happy with the sticker price, make an offer, and if they accept it, buy it, if not, walk away.
Are discounts from sticker price available on new Mini Coopers?
No dealer incentives to buyers now, or ever , that i am aware of. But that won%26#039;t stop you from negotiating. Give em hell. And if you wind up paying near sticker don%26#039;t feel bad. Everyrone else did too.

Want a new car?

i want a new car that gets good gas mileage but cost less than 15000, willing to go to used but nothing less than 2005, a car not suv or truck, and something that is safe, i have a 17 month old, we live in east texas
Want a new car?
You can buy a brand new Toyota Corolla for about $15,000. A used Corolla(certified) under $15,000. Safe car and good gas milage, cheap to insure.
Want a new car?
Good. Have fun shopping in East Texas.
Reply:YES, i WANT A NEW CAR!

oh you werent asking that! haaaaaa

you dont want a hybred, they cost and arm and leg for fuel, its more than gas! what a bargin, huh.

get a super good car seat for your child... thats half the problem as far as being safe.

cars all depend on how you drive them and how well they are maintained. I would never buy a piece of crap Chrysler.

You see them broke down along the highways here all the time and the car lots are filled with used ones. haaaa dont say much for them huh.

GOOD LUCK, have fun shopping around. and loads of love and happiness for you and your baby.
Reply:look at the Hyundai - Accent. Auto w/ air run around 12.5k new. On sale 11.3K in VA. This way you get new car loan extended with full warrenty.

Research showed me the car has a very good rating, while not the most in comfort, it has a good track record.
Reply:Not all used (or new) cars are created equal. I%26#039;d sooner take a 1995 Honda over a 2008 Daewoo (AKA Chevy or Suzuki, depending on the model), for example. Arbitrary cutoffs for age and mileage are counter-productive.

Anyhow, any late-model compact car (Civic, Corolla, Sentra, Mazda 3, Impreza, Lancer, Jetta/Golf/Beetle, Cobalt/Ion/G5, Focus, Neon, Elantra) would fit the bill.

I%26#039;d suggest avoiding anything from Chrysler that has an automatic transmission (that is the vast majority of their cars, even in the ones where you can get a manual), and be really suspicious of VWs. Also don%26#039;t get any GM vehicles that aren%26#039;t Epsilon, Delta, or W-platform cars (google it)...nothing else is both good and fits your requirements. And the Ford Taurus sucked, the new one is underwhelming but not a pile of crap like the old one. Also, the Hyundai Accent and Kia Rio are good when you get a good one...a lot of people don%26#039;t, however. You%26#039;re rolling the dice on those.

If you want to go new, the Honda Fit has 5 star ratings in most categories, and the Toyota Yaris is mostly 4 star. So very good, and pretty good.

If you%26#039;re willing to go a little older, you could get into the Accord/Camry class. Probably the safest thing you%26#039;ll get in that class is a Subaru Legacy. Due to the AWD, you take a little hit in fuel economy, though. You could probably get a hell of a deal on a used Ford Fusion...basically a Mazda 6...due to the high depreciation on domestics.

Be aware, though...if you%26#039;re looking for really good gas-sippers right now, you%26#039;re going to pay a premium...everyone and their cousin is looking to get rid of their gas hogs right now. It might pay to just live with whatever you%26#039;re trying to get rid of (and I%26#039;m guessing you are) for a few months, until more production comes on line, and people get over gas-price hysteria. Seriously, you could save more by buying later than you save on gas for the remainder of the summer.

Edit: oh yeah...consider a coupe or a 3 door hatch. My parents drove them when my brother and I were little because they (correctly) figured that putting the kids in the back seat without a door or window was safer. There is no way for the kid to jump out of the car when it is moving if the car only has 2 passenger doors. It%26#039;s also more difficult for them to drop stuff out the windows while the car is underway.

You don%26#039;t need to consider 4 doors until the kids get up around 10 or 12.

buy a cheap car but ok to driving it.

like less than $1000 car

why?

because you have to pay tax to dmv, smog check, maintenance repair, pay insurance ( more expensive your car, more expensive your insurance)

you have to build your driving record,so you will pay insurance cheaper.

Reply:You need to think about buying a used car. Getting one with a loan means that 6 years from now you will have paid $10,000 (b/c of interest) for a car that was originally worth only $8000 and at the end of finally paying it off, it is only worth $4000, basically, you never get your money worth. I like getting them with 20000 miles on them, b/c that knocks off a lot of the cost, plus it has A LOT of life left in in.

Look at gas mileage, you can find out about a vehicles gas mileage at my first website.

Also look at tires, when were the breaks last changed???, feel free to open up the hood and check the oil (I%26#039;m a girl, even I can do this simple task, if you need to know how, ask that in your next question LOL) You can buy a gauge that helps you look at the radiator fluid too. If it smells like smoke, you can deduct money off of what they are asking (even if you smoke, don%26#039;t tell the seller)....I can%26#039;t think of anything else but to test drive a handful of cars, so you can compare. Also, if you have any large instruments (like drums) that you plan on taking with you regularly, make sure they would fit in the trunk. Oh, check to make sure the radio works, my first cars radio died after two weeks b/c of a lose fuse.

good luck and have fun.

Oh, and I strongly disagree about only paying less than $1000 on a car unless you are a mechanic. You end up fixing it every other week, this tire goes flat, then that one, the muffler falls off. My husbands first car was a clunker, the muffler fell off during one of our first dates :) LOL it was so funny, but he was SOOOO embarrassed, why sink a bunch of money into a car that doesn%26#039;t get you from point a to point b?

I also recommend getting full insurance, I totalled a $7,500 Jeep once and got a nice check in the mail for $8,200 to replace it....insurance can definitely pay off.
Reply:I guess you should also check insurance quotes for the car before buying one, for example here: http://carquotes.imess.net

First time drivers usually have higher rates because they have much higher risk of accident.

How many cars does the average car salesman sell in his/her first month?

It would depend on where you live and what sort of car you are selling, and if you sell new or used cars.

Usually, salesman dont go on number of cars, they go on profit. As in, they have a target of $5000 profit for the week, but that is only an example.
How many cars does the average car salesman sell in his/her first month?
You cannot go by AVERAGE salesman figure. Unlike a sales help at the local dept store, at dealerships your SALESMANSHIP completely determines your income.

In a single dealership (or Real Estate agency, etc.) you can have one salesman making a million dollars per year, and another person thinking of dropping out because they can%26#039;t pay the bills. It is all about the SALESMANSHIP - not the average.

Good Luck...
How many cars does the average car salesman sell in his/her first month?
I run a new car dealership and most new sales people will sell 3 or 4 cars in first month. Mostly due to the sales person learning and tagging along with who ever is training him/her.

If you work for Toyota or Nissan you better 20 cars per month to make a living, domestic you can do about 12 to make a living. If you are getting into this business good luck, it is a fun business and I have made a lot of money selling cars over the years.

How can you feasibly sell a car with a loan payment pending?

Dear Yahoo folks, I have 2003 Honda CR-V, outstanding and looks just as new, with low mileage. I might be moving or other personal reasons, otherwise I will not sell this great crv. I want to sell it, but I am still making payments on a car loan?. Any suggestions to go about?.
How can you feasibly sell a car with a loan payment pending?
You can see if your lender will be willing to transfer payments to a new buyer who would first have to qualify for the loan themselves. Or you can get a bank loan to pay off the auto loan so you can get the title before you sell the car because most people buying a used car will want to get their hands on the title to protect themselves.
How can you feasibly sell a car with a loan payment pending?
The only way to sell this car to another party and get yourself out from the payments, is to sell the car for what you currently owe on the car. You call the lien holder and ask them what is the payoff on the car and they tell you. If for some reason you owe more than what the car is worth, your stuck as you cant sell an automobile you dont own.

Good Luck
Reply:You would have to get someone to pay for your car and be willing to wait until you send that money to the lender in order to get your title. Once you have the title, you will have to mail it to the buyer. Dealers are willing to do this, but as you said, they don%26#039;t pay very much.

Someone help me plezzzzzzz!!!!!?

ABOUT how much are the monthly payments to lease a 2008 VW jetta...with good credit and $2,000 down payment.

Someone please help thanks!!!
Someone help me plezzzzzzz!!!!!?
According to the Volkswagon website, your looking at a payment under $200 a month. However, this is probably a generic term because there are many different trim levels available. Your best advice, is simply to pick up the phone and call your local VW dealer and speak to a salesman and work actual numbers.

On a side note, leasing a car is a HORRIBLE idea. Reason is that you pay a certain amount every month and at the end of your lease, you have 0 equity in the car. You either turn the car over to the lease company or buy the car outright.

Additionally, many leases are for a set number of miles. If you exceed the miles, your going to get charged for the miles over. Also, they charge for wear and tear so if you have animals or kids, its not a good financial investment to lease.
Someone help me plezzzzzzz!!!!!?
Totally depends on the area where you live and or where you want to lease. Check with the company website %26amp; call different showrooms to check out the price difference.

Coming to leasing part

well it again depends on whether its long term or short term

Leasing a vehicle is good if it is short term than at times of long term.

Either of the way you read the full terms before signing the agreement.

Goodluck

What car would you recommend for a 16 year old?

Reply:A chevy impala that already has 160,000 miles on it won%26#039;t last you that much longer, so pass up on that deal.

Look at Honda Civics or Accords, you can get some of the older ones for under $5,000. Some of the early 90%26#039;s ones go for less than $3k. I%26#039;d go for a mid 90%26#039;s Civic, might be around $3-$5k depending on miles/condition/year/ etc. The civic gets great gas mileage (like 35mpg) and has a decent amount of room. The Accord is nice too, more room than the Civic since its a bigger car, and still gets about 30mpg.

At 16 a Honda would be great for you, it will be a reliable car, not expensive on maintenance and insurance won%26#039;t be that bad either.

Reply:Chevy Impala? Good on gas? Hmmm.... I think the EPA estimates are kind of over inflated. You should be careful and do real world research because gas is gonna kill you.

IMHO.

If you want something sporty and good MPG, you almost have no choice but to go with something 4 cylinder and maybe Japanese.

I own a 94 Civic with 187K miles and I can get 41 MPG (while speeding at 72 mph). So that would only be better at 55 mph.

I%26#039;m not suggesting you get an old Civic. I%26#039;m just trying to point out some other cars that you might not have considered.

Good Luck...
Reply:160,000 miles is pretty high, so I%26#039;d walk away from that one. Although those are nice cars and actually get impressive gas mileage with a 3.4 liter V6 engine. My uncle has one and I think he gets about 26-28 mpg in the city, which is incredible for a car of that size.

But if you want something more sporty in that price range, than I%26#039;d recommend checking these out:

1) Ford Probe GT

2) Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird V6

3) Ford Mustang V6

4) Pontiac Grand Am GT

Hope that helps and good luck!
Reply:Go find a used car lot and drive a few different kinds of cars around. See which one drives and handles the nicest for you. Something with a stick shift will make it feel sporty, even if it doesn%26#039;t look all that sporty on the outside, but it would feel fun to drive. A Honda or Toyota will last 300K miles and the Impala...might make it to 200K. Find your price range and go from there. A Toyota Celica is sporty and fun to drive too, and could be in your 3K price range. Check out craigslist and search for cars, then type in Honda or Toyota...see what%26#039;s available in your town. Go to KBB to see what the value of that car will be. Check the engine for oil leaks, make sure all the things work on the car, windows, heat, a/c, wipers...make sure it%26#039;ll get a sticker before you buy it, put that in the bill of sale...that it has to pass inspection. I%26#039;ve found private party sellers tend not to lie to you, whereas dealers will say anything to get you to buy the car. Stay open minded, calm and relaxed while making the deal...walk away if you have to think about it more. There%26#039;s tons of cars available and they all can be nice for you to drive. Good luck! Here%26#039;s a few web sites for reviews too, edmunds.com cars.com autotrader.com.
Reply:Actually, for my son, I bought him something small and good on gas. Someone with a car usually drives all his friends around, and usually will not get help with gas money. So for a 16 year old, my recommendation is a small car or truck that is good on gas.
Reply:Dont get it.

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

It%26#039;s gotta be pretty damn tricked out on the inside, so you look cool - cause you%26#039;re a rebel with the cause of a get away.
Reply:Just get a basic car in a color that blends in easily. A good get away car would be one that could easily get lost in traffic, rather than one thats fast. The goal should be getting away from the scene while drawing as little attention as possible.
Reply:The same car used in the movie TAXI.

A high performance BMW, with bullet proof tyres, peel away paint so they do not recognise you, and a backup plan. But also it would have to be a convertable (hard top convertable, so that the roof can come off).
Reply:Havent any of you ever seen the Italian Job? (The original one!)

Mini%26#039;s are unstoppable!
Reply:Actually, the perfect car for the perfect crime i believe would be a high performance suv, like the bmw x5 4.8. It would have to have night vision which is available on highline cars now, it already has runflat tires, off road capable, and plenty of on road performance.

So with the on road performance, lights off because of night vision, and the off road capability, you should be able to get away with a good plan.

But the ability to cloak would be real nice.

I've got the used car blues!?

Hello all--I%26#039;m not sure what I should do.

I%26#039;ve got this 1996 Ford Taurus that barely runs. It%26#039;ll start but it makes this horrible rattling clinking noise whenever you push the accelerator. Sometimes while driving, the transmission slips and won%26#039;t catch into the next gear so I have to put it in reverse and then back in drive. I%26#039;m pretty sure it%26#039;s going to blow up.

I no longer want this car because I am moving halfway across the country and no longer need a vehicle. How should I go about selling this car? Do you think anyone will buy it? How much do you think it%26#039;s worth? What should I say in the ad?
I%26#039;ve got the used car blues!?
you could always put it on ebay and list it as breakable for spares only....?
I%26#039;ve got the used car blues!?
The ad should say %26quot;as is%26quot; and if you go to KBB and see fair condition on a private party, that%26#039;s what you might get for it, but remember there%26#039;s lots of other cars in the same shape as yours for sale, so you might want to take best offer.
Reply:Looks like honesty will be your friend in this case...if I were to imagine it listed on EBay, your question here more or less is your auction listing:

I am wanting to buy a GPS. What is the best system for the price?

I am wanting to get a GPS for a new thing I was told about called GEOCACHING, my husband and I are looking for more things (hobbies) to do together and this sounds fun and interesting. We need to purchase a GPS, but we are not familiar with these systems we dont really want to purchase something that we will end up having problems with or we don%26#039;t want to regret buying it due to some advise from a salesman, then hearing that there is a better one out there for better price from someone else.. Also could probably pick up anything cheaper online and would rather educated ourselves about them before hand. Any information is appreciated:)
I am wanting to buy a GPS. What is the best system for the price?
I am not an expert on GPS units by any means, but I can tell you that Consumer Reports rates the Garmin Nuvi 660 as its highest rated, recommended unit for the money.

It runs about $350 retail.

Other recommended units include:

Garmin 760 ($500)

TomTom Go 730T ($500)

TomTom One 130 ($200)

Garmin Nuvi 260W ($320)

Magellan.
Reply:you can get a gps for less than 150 dollars and it is as accurate as any of the rest of them. The high priced ones have features that you will never use and they up the price to make it %26#039;%26#039;seem%26#039;%26#039; as though it is better.

Is it better to buy a home first or to buy a car first?

I already have a car but i need to trade it in for something bigger because i have my 2 month old daughter with me. I was thinking like a mid-size car, Honda Accord or Nissan Altima. So is it better/smarter to trade in my car for a new one or to start renting out an aparment/buying my first home?
Is it better to buy a home first or to buy a car first?
i reckon a home

since you have a kid aswell

you can walk to where you need to if its close to catch public transport

kids need fresh air anyways :)
Is it better to buy a home first or to buy a car first?
BUY A HOME!!!! A car is just a tin box that moves around and loses its value as time goes by

A house will probably keep its value or even be profitable in the future!
Reply:HOUSE!!

Car is a want, not a need

while

House is a need and a want!!
Reply:buying a home is much better because you will beadle to sell it in the future for much more most of the time.

cars in my opinion is one of the biggest ways to wast money, how often do you hear a friend or family member telling you how much money they made on their car when they sold it?

cars depreciate in value way to much!!!
Reply:with a 2 month old child u need a roof over your heads, plus buying a home is a investment and any car will get u from a to b . plus when you apply for a morgage , borrow a little more so u can then buy a new car . hope this helps !
Reply:right now the housing market is for the buyer%26#039;s not the seller%26#039;s. houses have lost value so you might be able to buy one for alot lower price than the asking price. You already have a car now you need a nice place to bring up your daughter.
Reply:Buy a home, which is an investment in your future.

Homes usually appreciate, cars always depreciate.

Plus you will qualify for a larger mortgage if you don%26#039;t have a car loan on your credit report.
Reply:in ten years your house will be 1/2 paid off...in ten years your car will be ready for junk yard...think about it

I have a choice of 2 convertibles the chrysler pt 2.4 or the mini cooper ? but cant choose?

i,m 29 and have 2 boys aged 7 + 5 and dont want to look cheesey ? its got to say smart classy car that people will look at without laughing

Mini cooper.
I have a choice of 2 convertibles the chrysler pt 2.4 or the mini cooper ? but cant choose?
Ohhhh I%26#039;d have to go for the Mini everytime! Ask your boys - bet they would prefer it too!
Reply:Mini every time !
Reply:Of the 2 I would go for the mini, but i%26#039;m a girl and think its more a girls car. What about a vw eos?
Reply:The Cooper%26#039;s a great car - but it%26#039;s very dark and claustrophobic in the back. It%26#039;s OK on short trips and it%26#039;ll be OK while your kids are small, but if you%26#039;re going to have the car for any length of time or do any %26quot;real%26quot; travelling, I%26#039;d consider the Chrysler if I were you (even if it isn%26#039;t as cute).

Have you driven them both yet and you still can%26#039;t decide?

Take your kids along and drive them!

Lucky you, by the way, both in getting to choose a convertible and in being only 29.

Edit: The fact that %26quot;You have a choice of%26quot; implied to me you weren%26#039;t actually BUYING it, but if you are - buy the one you like and to hell with depreciation and cost, so there!
Reply:mini cooper.

PT cruisers are seen all over the place. Mini coopers not as much.
Reply:Everyone answers a question like its Monopoly money. You Will pay plus of sticker for the Mini, and can cut a pretty good deal for a PT with all th bells and whistles. The 7 year old will want the Mini but last time I looked they don%26#039;t pay any bills and are really going to have their hands out in a few years.

Now if you are one of those fortunate enough that cost is not an issue, then excuse me and don%26#039;t forget your favorite charity along the way.If that is not the case calculate the difference between the 2 and start or add to a college fund or retirement, what have you.

Good Luck
Reply:Given the price of fuel I%26#039;d go for the mini cooper because it%26#039;s only a 1.6 4 cylinder 16V. The 2.4 chrysler engine will just drink the fuel. Plus they%26#039;re very cute.
Reply:Better do the mini cooper, they resale better and last longer. Also, even though they are small , they much more reliable.
Reply:if your buying brand new get the Mini %26quot;S%26quot;.

it%26#039;s much more reliable and won%26#039;t depreciate as much.

How do I buy a used car from a private seller without getting ripped off or scamed?

I%26#039;m about to buy a used car and want to buy from a private seller but am worried about getting scamed. As far as I know as long as they sign the title over to you its ok. So can I just hand them 15,000 dollars and get the title and there is no way to get ripped off? What am I suppose to ask the mechanics to look for before purchasing. Anything I should do before purchasing? Thank you!
How do I buy a used car from a private seller without getting ripped off or scamed?
The important thing is to have a qualified mechanic check it out before you but. In my opinion, as long as you check it out, you would stand less chance to be ripped off from a private seller as they%26#039;re not skilled at hiding defects.
How do I buy a used car from a private seller without getting ripped off or scamed?
Look up it%26#039;s value on sites like Kelly Blue Book and Car Max before you even go to see it. Examine the service records. Look up the vin number on one of the approrite sites. If all looks and sounds good, write up a contract that states you will take to mechanic and only give a few hundred dollar deposit at that time; unless the car is still under original factory warranty in which case I would not worry about any mechanical things. Some states require a notery witness the title signing by the seller, and make sure the vin number on dash matches vin on title.
Reply:Take the car to a reputable mechanic that you choose, not the seller, and have the mechanic check everything. If it is pronounced a good car by your mechanic then make sure the title has no lein on it before buying. Look at an identification to insure the person you are dealing with is the person on the title. If more than one person is on the title then check with your states Department of Motor vehicles to see if both are required to sign. Compare the vin number on the title with the one on the car.
Reply:First make sure that the title is clear and the seller has the title in hand. Check the Blue book price for a car of that make, model, and condition. You may want to hop on EBay to see what are other cars of that make and model are selling to give you a comparison. Bring a certified auto mechanic with you to inspect the car. After he has inspected the car, test driven it, you can discuss what he thinks the car is worth. The make a reasonable offer and take it from there.
Reply:The test of the pudding is in the tasting, right? Then, considering all the vin checks, titles or liens, if any, thereof, warranties, and the nod of approval of your mechanic of choice, lift the car and check for signs of collision damage(s). One clue is the spray of extra paint on some parts, if the job was not done expertly. Also, check the tires (see pattern of tread wear) , emissions, upholstery. Go to a car lift, and see the underside. FINALLY, a test drive is a must, on paved and less paved streets. Good luck.

Are Toyota's and Honda's still as good as they used to be, as in, people say they would last forever back in..

...the early to mid90%26#039;s? Are ones after 2000 to now still as good and dependable? What about Mazda? I am looking at a 200-2002 Mazda Millenia. Anyone have experience with this car? Is it dependable if it was well taken care of and miles are decent? I need something, obviously, that will last me at least a couple, or more years to finish school, and I have a 3 year old.
Are Toyota%26#039;s and Honda%26#039;s still as good as they used to be, as in, people say they would last forever back in..
The Mazda Millenia is a great car and is considered very reliable.

However, as with any used car, the reliability is going to depend on whether the prior owner took care of it.

Consumer reports rated the 2002 Millenia as a %26#039;used car good buy%26#039; under $10,000.

I would say anything under 80,000 miles would be pretty average for a 2002 model (figure about 12,000 miles a year).

Shop for your Millenia and when you find one you like, have an independent mechanic inspect it to make sure that you aren%26#039;t buying someone else%26#039;s problem.
Are Toyota%26#039;s and Honda%26#039;s still as good as they used to be, as in, people say they would last forever back in..
I love Toyota. They are reliable workhorses, not gas guzzlers, easy to procure parts, and high resale value. Honda has good designs, same reliability and high resale values. Mazda, although a joint partnership between Ford and Mazda Japan still has a lot of catching up, if the standard we%26#039;ll use are Toyotas and Hondas, but they are not very far behind. I am partial to the first two. Hope I answered your questions and concerns fully.
Reply:Whatever the make or Model, I%26#039;d prefer Post 2000 cars. The rationale is that the newer cars have better safety features like Side Curtain Airbags etc. Also the engines are more refined and are much cleaner.

Besides you probably don%26#039;t have to do Emission Inspection for at least one year.
